HYBRIS DUDES EPK

Hybris Dudes is a musical collective run by Carmelo Leotta. Leotta originally came from Italy before settling in Berlin. He is a professional musician playing electric and acoustic bass. He played Bass for musicians such as Benny Golson and Jimmy Cobb.

Since 2014 Leotta has called Berlin his hometown, here he is involved in many international musical projects. Equally as a Bass player he has toured Germany with various projects.

As the leader of Hybris Dudes Leotta likens their special quality to the mixed culture of the band members, hailing from Israel, Italy and the United States. Their Jazz sound is modern and recognizable with a very unique use of Effects.

With every arrangement and composition, the group personally shares their message and passion. The sound is modern Jazz rhythmically complex yet groovy. The bands name comes from ancient Greece - the arrogance of those who rebelled against the gods. Human behavior is rife with excess ambition and outrages behavior, which the band aims to capture this and turn it around to connect people and make them dance.
